Wellington Airport Landing - ZK-OAB
I haven't taken any photos at Wellington Airport for a few years now, so I was pleased to get these photos of Air New Zealand's A320, ZK-OAB coming over the fence will I was in town.

RNZAF C-130H Hercules - NZ7001
The Royal New New Zealand Airforce had their C-130H Hercules, NZ7001 on static display also at the airshow, allowing the crowds to look onboard and climb into the cockpit for a good look.
The RNZAF currently have 5, C-130H Hercules and they first took delivery of NZ7001-7003 back in 1965. NZ7001-7003 were some of the first off the Lockheed production lines. The other two RNZAF C-130's, NZ7004-NZ7005 were delivered in 1969.
When they are empty they are have a range of about 4000nm.
Powered by 4 X Allison T56-A-15 engines, with a 4910 Shaft Horsepower, it has a range of about 2200nm with a payload of about 12,700kg.

RNZAF Texan T6C - NZ1406 & NZ1407
The Royal New Zealand Airforce has just received these brand new Beechcraft T6C Texan aircraft and were on display at the Wings over Wairarapa Airshow. These aircraft did only a very brief flying display, which was literary a takeoff, fly pass down the runway and then an approach and landing.
It will take some time before these great race machines can perform aerobatics at airshows, due to training requirements etc etc....
In the first photo is NZ1406 departing Masterton for its home base at Ohakea, and in the last 3 photos is NZ1407 on static display.

Wings over Wairarapa - Avro Anson MKI
Wings over Wairarapa - Part 2
This aircraft would have to be one of my favourite wartime classic bombers, the Avro Anson MKI
The Avro Anson first flew in 1935 and 11032 were produced, and the type entered service as coastal reconnaissance bomber in 1936. There were 300 in frontline service at the start of WWII.

Wings over Wairarapa Airshow - Super Cub ZK-BKN
To kick off my aviation photography for 2015, I attended the Wings over Wairarapa Airshow at the Hood Aerodrome on the 17th - 18th January in Masterton, which is located in the Wairarapa about 80 minutes drive north of Wellington.
The weather was great, dam hot actually, so plenty of sunshine and good light for the camera.
This first set of photos are of Piper Super Cub ZK-BKN which performed a great act for the crowd.
I'll do several posts for the airshow over the next week or so.

China Southern B777-300ER, B-2007
China Southern Airlines for the summer months have upgraded their capacity from the B787-8 to the B777-300ER for flights CZ305/CZ306, which arrives late afternoon into Auckland and departs back late in the evening. The morning flight CZ335/CZ336 are still operated by the B787-8.
The weather was not the best for these photos, a bit grey and overcast, better luck next time I guess.

Jetstar Orange A320, VH-VGF
At last some shots of Jetstar's bright orange A320, VH-VGF on the ground and going slow for some better photos than I got last time. VH-VGF is now a regular visitor to New Zealand skies on the domestic network for Jetstar.

This very white Falcon 7X, OO-LMG is seen here arriving into Auckland direct from Singapore back on the 10th Sep 2014, with opera superstar Andrea Bocelli onboard, ahead of his New Zealand Concert.
