Back In Business With Camera

Well at last I'm back in business with a new camera, after a not having one for a few weeks.
Still plenty to learn again with a new camera, so hopefully things will improve.

So heres my first photos with the new toy, and LAN's LA801, CC-BGC departing for Sydney a little later than planned.

LATAM B787-9 - CC-BGL

LAN Airlines now called LATAM have taken delivery of their latest and brand new B787-9 which of course is in the LATAM livery which will be applied to the LAN fleet over time.

CC-BGL made its first visit to Auckland yesterday and this was the only photo in a very rushed attempt that I managed to get.

Sunset 05R - Departures

A few days ago the weather was perfect just before sundown for these photos all taken within 14 minutes of each other from departures off Runway 05R at Auckland.

LAN was running a little late today, so was was lucky to have it, and all four heavy's within such a short time span.

LAN Airlines B787-9 First Auckland Visit - CC-BGA

A pleasant surprise yesterday the 21st Aug with the first flight to be operated by LAN using their B787-9 Dreamliner, into Auckland from Santiago. CC-BGA had the honour of being LAN's first B787-9 to fly the SCL-AKL-SYD route. LAN currently use the B787-8 on the route, and yesterday was a unscheduled equipment change. LAN will introduce the B787-9 daily into Auckland starting next month on the 20th Sep.

Air New Zealand B787-9 vs LAN B787-8

Well I turned up on location yesterday to get some photos of Air New Zealand's newly delivered and latest B787-9, ZK-NZD.

So the timing of LAN's B787-8, CC-BBA flight LA800 taxing out at the same time of NZD's arrival, resulted to these photos, also making it my first photos of a B787-8 & B787-9 in the same shot.

LAN B787-8 CC-BBE Takeoff

LAN are well into their new B787-8 operations on the SCL-AKL-SYD flights and the introduction of the B787-9 on the route is still on target for a late September start.

With the sun getting low, and clear skies, made for these photos of flight LA800, CC-BBE departing for Santiago, Chile.

LAN B787-8 First Auckland Flight - CC-BBA

On Friday LAN said farewell to  their A340-300's from Auckland and yesterday the 18th April 2015 we welcomed their first B787-8 flight into Auckland from Santiago, Chile.

CC-BBA had the honours of being the first LAN B787-8 to operated into Auckland arriving in the early hours of the morning and leaving again for Sydney just before sunrise.

I was pretty dam pleased to see the weather clear with a bit of sun out to get these first photos of
CC-BBA arriving back from Sydney as LA800 and the departure back to Santiago.
