Boy was I lucky to get these photos after a mad dash.
This is the Japanese Defence Force
Kawasaki P-1 Maritime Patrol Aircraft,
5505, taking off from the Whenuapai Air Force base on Monday the 21st Nov. The P-1 was in Auckland as part of the New Zealand Navy's 75th celebration's but unfortunately was unable to fly over the Auckland Harbour in the air display because of poor weather last Saturday.
I love this little four engine jet and was just so happy to get a photo of one at last.
