Auckland Airport - Reduced Length Runway Landing - Singapore Airlines

Over the last month Auckland Airport has being doing some taxiway works at the far eastern end of airport at the taxiway entrance to 23L. As a result the airport has been operating a reduced length runway for all landings and takeoffs. I'd now wish I had made it out for more photos of the landings on 23L. So made it out on the last day of the reduce length landings and got these photos of SQ295, 9V-SWO arriving.

During the reduced length runway in March from what I believe there were only to go around due to the aircraft not on the correct profile for landing. Both were A380's, An Emirates A380 actually touched down, but way to long and decided he was not going to stop in time so took off again. An an SQ A380 decided to go around due to being to high at about 200 ft.

Alliance Airlines Fokker 50 - VH-FKO

At Last.....I've been wanting to get some good photos, well actually any photos of this
Alliance Airlines Fokker 50, VH-FKO for some time now, its just been a case of not being in the right place at the right time. So was pleased to see this turn up at the right time, this time.....

Singapore Airlines - SG50 Livery

Well it's that time of year again, and Singapore Airlines have started their A380 services to Auckland operating the daily return flights SQ285/SQ286 for the 2015/2016 summer season.

And yesterday the 27th Oct saw their second A380 flight for the season arrive into Auckland with their SG50 Special Livery worn by 9V-SKJ.
It looks pretty good and I hope to get some better shots over the summer period of SKJ or SKI if they make down to AKL. The last 2 photos aren't the best, could have been better.

Private Boeing 727 Visits Auckland - VP-BAP

What a nice surprise to see this Private Boeing 727-21 turn up in Auckland yesterday. The B727 has always been a favourite of mine and I have enjoyed every minute that I have flown on one over many many miles.

This is the only photo I could get on the day of VP-BAP. Great Paint scheme also.

Air New Zealand's First B787-9, Auckland - Los Angeles Flight

Sunday the 27th Sep 2015 saw Air New Zealand operated the B787-9 for this first time from
Auckland to Los Angeles, also making it the first time for the B787-9 to fly to the USA since entering service with the airline.

The B787-9 will operate mainly on the NZ4 / NZ3 AKL-LAX-AKL flights until the 12th October.

Some first time shots also of ZK-NZC , taxing out for LAX as NZ4.

Farewell Air New Zealand's B737-300 , ZK-NGI

Today the 21st Sep 2015 saw the final final end of Air New Zealand's last B737-300, ZK-NGI to leave Auckland for the last time flying back to Christchurch this morning. NGI spent the weekend doing some scenic flights around Auckland City.

LAN Airlines B787-9 First Auckland Visit - CC-BGA

A pleasant surprise yesterday the 21st Aug with the first flight to be operated by LAN using their B787-9 Dreamliner, into Auckland from Santiago. CC-BGA had the honour of being LAN's first B787-9 to fly the SCL-AKL-SYD route. LAN currently use the B787-8 on the route, and yesterday was a unscheduled equipment change. LAN will introduce the B787-9 daily into Auckland starting next month on the 20th Sep.
