RAAF A330 MRTT & Challenger 604

Late in August the Australian Air Force conducted what could be called training flights across the ditch from Australia in their A330 MRTT, A39-001.

First flying an approach at Ohakea Air Force base then heading north to Auckland for a landing and seat swap for the training crew.

On the 5th September saw the arrival of the RAAF's Challenger 604, A37-001 into Auckland for a one night stay before arriving to Australia,

Royal Australian Air Force, F-18 Hornet's

Back to Ohakea from earlier in the year at the RNZAF Air Tattoo, Air Show and time to show some pics I got of the visiting Royal Australian Air Force F-18 Hornets.

I think the F-18 is an awesome machine and it sure does put on a good show.
Was prefect weather and I do have others photos, and will share in a different post.

RAAF P-8A Poseidon A47-001

It was great to see the Royal Australian's Air Force first Boeing P-8A Poseidon A47-001 in Auckland this week on its delivery flight from Boeing Field to Australia via Honolulu and Auckland.

I presume the stop in Auckland was for Tech Crew rest, and it departed Auckland on the 14th Jul for Avalon, Australia just after 2pm. It will be great to see more of these P-8's through Auckland, hopefully.

RAAF KC30 In Town Again

The Royal Australian Airforce KC30 A39-002 was in Auckland again on Sunday the 16th March almost exactly a year ago since its last visit to Auckland on the 14th March 2013.

Some photos here of the arrival from Invercargill and then the taxi out for departure back to Ohakea a few hours later.
