Auckland Seaplanes ZK-AMA Beach Pick-Up

The main reason for not so many photos lately is because I've been at my favourite beach and holiday spot, so not many aircraft around. So its good when the planes come to you instead.

So it was good to see Auckland Seaplanes Beaver DH-2, ZK-AMA turn up when I just happened to be on the beach with the camera. ZK-AMA had come up from Auckland to collect a passenger who needed to get back the city urgently. Sure beats sitting in traffic.

Auckland Seaplanes - ZK-WKA

Auckland Seaplanes which has only been operating for a short time is based at the Sealink Base North Wharf at the waterfront in downtown Auckland. They currently have two de Havilland Beaver DHC-2 Float planes, ZK-AMA and ZK-WKA.

So hopefully this summer I can get some better photos than these ones of ZK-WKA parked at the base in town or even in action on the harbour. Would love to take a flight one day also.
