China Cargo Airlines
My first photos here of a China Cargo Airlines B777-F6N, and this is B-2078 taking off in LAX from runway 25R back in July 2015.

American Airlines B777's
American Airlines announced yesterday the 11th Nov 2015 that they will enter the New Zealand market place and will commence flying a new route from Los Angeles - Auckland from June 2016.
They will be using their 226 seat B787-8's on the new daily service to Auckland, which will be in an alliance with One World partner Qantas. Their flights I believe are scheduled to arrive into AKL at 0635 in the morning from LA and departing AKL back to LA at 1320.
So next year we will see two new carriers, UA and AA enter the direct LAX-AKL-LAX route and take away Air New Zealand's long held monopoly on the route. Interesting times ahead.
So with timing of American announcing their new destination I thought it would be a good time to share these photos from my LA trip. Sorry but don't have any AA B787 shots yet, so these B777-300ER and B777-200ER will have to do for now,
The first 4 shots are of N728AN, B777-300ER and the last 2 of , N787AL, B777-200ER

Horizon Air - Ducks Livery - N407QX
This is one nice looking Horizon Air (Alaska Airlines) Dash 8-401, N407QX wearing the Mighty Ducks Livery. These shots were taken again from the Proud Bird Restaurant at LAX, and I was pretty happy to get these photos, as I'm sure I won't see this one again.

Delta Airlines B777-200 - N863DA
Some more Delta Airlines photos and this time some early morning photos of N863DA landing also at LAX on runway 24L. The sun was not in the best position at the time of these shots, this spot is more of an afternoon place to take photos.
I'm actually looking forward to see what Delta's new livery will be like, when ever that may be far, far away in the future.

Delta Airlines B757-200
Well was lucky to be passing by when this Delta Airlines B757-200 flew very low right overhead me just as it crossed the fence at LAX for runway 24L. Did not get the registration for this one, but just happy to get this shot. The B757 is one of my favourites.

It's looks well proportioned in size and I actually quite like them. Would like to take a flight on one one day.

Proud Bird Restaurant - LAX
The Proud Bird has been a well known Aviation Themed Restaurant at the approach end of
Runway 25L at Los Angeles for as long as I can remember.
It sure does offer fantastic views for it's customers of the landing aircraft onto the closest runway 25L which is literary across the road and over the fence.
In the grounds outside and the carpark entrance there are old aircraft on display, all old and rather weathered though, that you can walk around for a closer look.
The Proud Bird almost closed it's doors for good last year, but is now going to stay open and is going to have some improvements made to the grounds and restaurant. Goods News to hear.

A bit of a mix up this time of some arrivals into LAX just before sunset onto runway 24L.
I took all these shots from the same spot in very warm humid conditions, and with beautiful clear skies.

Lufthansa B747-8
My favourite aircraft of all time, the B747, all versions of the 747 are awesome in my opinion and here are my first photos the B747-8 variant. I just wish the windows were clean and the sun was out when I took these, so with that I'm looking forward to some better photos in the future.

American Airlines - Old Livery vs New Livery
A photo comparison here of the old & new American Airlines livery worn by a couple of their
B737-800's. I have always like the old American livery for some reason and I think the new livery is
just awesome, simple and purely American branding. I like it a lot.
The first photo is of N982AA arriving on runway 25L and the bottom photo is their
One World Livery N837NN arriving on runway 24L, both at LAX.

Atlas Air B747-400 - N263SG
I was pretty happy to see this Atlas Air B747-400, N263SG land at LAX when I was up on
Imperial Hill taking a few photos. It landed on the north side of the airport on runway 24L and then it taxied all the way over to the south side and right pass the viewing area, to the delight of the other spotters on location also.

US Marine Super Cobra AH-1W

California Science Centre - United Airlines DC-8
Whilst in Los Angeles I made a trip to the California Science Centre for a visit, which is located pretty close to downtown LA. The Science Centre is great, with lots of impressive exhibits and displays on Aviation and Space Flight, along with great general science and technology learning also.
It's a huge place so will be making a trip back again, but not during the USA school holiday season, the place was packed with kids and was very crowded the day I was there.
Thought I'd start by showing these photos of this ex United Airlines DC-8, N8066U which was donated to the California Science Centre back in 1984, I believe. N8066U was also nicknamed
"Los Angeles". Due to its location, I could not get any full length side on shots so had to be happy with these ones.
It's a huge place so will be making a trip back again, but not during the USA school holiday season, the place was packed with kids and was very crowded the day I was there.
