DHL Freighter B767-300F, G-DHLH

Tasman Air Cargo currently have a new freighter flying the Auckland - Sydney - Auckland run, while VH-TCA the B757 is away for maintenance I believe.

The replacement is a DHL B767-300F, G-DHLH and it was nice to see it arriving in daylight hours after running late from Sydney. Usually a night flyer.

Jeremy Clarkson Takes Flight....VH-TCA

Well these are kind of desperation shots, as it was really quite dark, and I am still trying to figure out how to set the correct settings on the camera for very very low light.

Well Tasman Air Cargo Airlines have applied Jeremy Clarkson to the tail of their Auckland based B757-200, VH-TCA, in promotion of his new TV series, "The Grand Tour"....

I'm looking forward to watching it....should be a laugh....

Toll B737-400F, ZK-JTQ

Managed to get this Toll B737-400F, ZK-JTQ arriving back into Auckland from Brisbane on the 14th May.The next night it was out flying freight duties up and down the country.

World Global Airlines MD11F- N435KD

World Global Airlines made a special delivery of some pretty special cargo late last week on Friday the 2nd December arriving from Canada via Honolulu.

Their MD11F, N435KD touched down around 8am local time on 23L and back taxied all the way to the eastern end of the airfield where it parked for it's cargo offload next to the DHL Cargo Facility.

I think the MD11 is a great looking machine and hence quite a few shots below, something different and light in each shot though, so thought worth sharing them all. Photos of the landing, back taxi to parking spot and then again as it was moved again to a new parking spot down at the western end of the airport.

Atlas Air B747-400F, N493MC

Atlas Air operate through Auckland on behalf of Qantas Freight and it's always great to see a
B747 of any type in town. So with the weather being perfect and my favourite aircraft type, and the fact that I haven't photographed Atlas in Auckland for a long time, which lead to these shots on Monday the 9th May earlier in the week of N493MC arriving in from Honolulu.

Fedex MD-11F, N574FE

Due to a technical problem I believe on Sunday night, which caused the departure of FX75 to Sydney to be delayed until Monday 18th April at 1400. So with some time to spare, I managed to head out and get these photos of N574FE taxing out some 18 hours late. It's rare to see the departures on FX in Auckland on Sundays as they leave after sundown, so making photo ops out of the question.

Ok...the MD-11 is a hot favourite of mine so sorry for so many shots, but it was a good an opportunity to miss in daylight hours.

I just love the rate of climb and power of the MD-11's, and they sure put on a good show at takeoff, and today FX75 sure went up at a great rate, as I tried to get in the takeoff photos below.

Air Bridge Cargo - B747-400ERF

What a real treat to have this Air Bridge Cargo B747-400ERF, VP-BIK arrive into Los Angeles on the 16th July, whilst on holiday.

I was about to leave and head back to the hotel for a beer when I saw this B747-400 turn onto a long final for 24L. As is got closer I realised which cargo airline it was. However I all of a sudden realised I was in the wrong spot to get a good shot, the sun was almost gone and it was pretty dark, and the traffic was busy so could not get across the road for a wide angle photo. So had to stay put and make the most of the situation. So these shots is all I managed, from standing in the wrong spot.
