China Southern B777-300ER's,

China Southern have switched to B777-300ER's for the peak summer months on their late afternoon/evening CZ305/CZ306 flight. The morning flight CZ335/CZ336 have also switched to B787-8's from the A330-200.

First photo is of B-2009 arriving on the 16th Nov and the last two photos are of B-2049 wearing the Sky Team Livery on the 17th Nov.

China Southern Airlines continue to operate double daily flights in Auckland and their A330-200 Sky Team Livery, B-6528 is a regular visitor to AKL.

Here is CZ336 taking off for Guangzhou mid morning.

China Southern - B777-300ER Up Close

China Southern seem to arrive into Auckland about one hour earlier then scheduled each day. Not sure why this is, but at least their customers will be happy with this.

I managed to get these photos yesterday the 11th May of CZ305 operated by B-2009 arriving into Auckland from Guangzhou.

China Southern CZ336 Take Off

At last I finally managed to get some photos of CZ departing Auckland from runway 05R.
With the luck of good weather and a sunny morning, I was pretty happy to get these photos of
B-2733, flight CZ336 rotating right in front of me. Sure love the wing flex of those B787's.

China Southern B777-300ER, B-2007

China Southern Airlines for the summer months have upgraded their capacity from the B787-8 to the B777-300ER for flights CZ305/CZ306, which arrives late afternoon into Auckland and departs back late in the evening. The morning flight CZ335/CZ336 are still operated by the B787-8.

The weather was not the best for these photos, a bit grey and overcast, better luck next time I guess.

China Southern's B787's - B2726 & B2727

China Southern operate double daily flights into Auckland, both using the B787-8. However this month they are up gauging their CZ305/CZ306 flights to the B777-300ER until March next year for the busy summer season, which of course will see a seat capacity increase into Auckland.

So look out for their B777-300ER's that will be arriving late afternoon.

So I thought it would be good to share these B787-8 arrivals, and I'm looking forward to getting some pics of the B777.

Well I haven't posted many 787 photos at all so just a couple of China Southern's flight CZ305 arriving from CAN in B-2733

Just out of interest, the average fuel load for CZ with the 787-8 from AKL-CAN is about 70 tonnes.

Looking forward to the arrival of Air New Zealand's brand new B787-9 soon...

China Southern 787-8 First Flight

Monday 28th October 2013 saw the first commercial flight operated by a B787-8 
to New Zealand touching down at Auckland at 3:56pm. A day in history for the history books.

The honor went to China Southern Airlines B-2727 on the airlines daily scheduled flight non-stop from Guangzhou, China.

China Southern, B-6058

Well a sight not to be seen for much longer in Auckland, well at least the A330-200 that China Southern operate to Auckland. Replacing their A330-200's on the Auckland route at the end of October with the B787-8's, will make China Southern the first airline to operate the Dreamliner to/from New Zealand.
