Korean Airlines B747-8's

Korean Airlines have started their B747-8 operations into Auckland for the busy summer season, now operated daily with the B747-8 on their Seoul - Auckland - Seoul, KE129/KE130 flights.

The B747-8 and equal to the B747-400 is my favourite aircraft, it will be hard to replace it.
I am looking forward to a first time visit by an B747-8 Freighter one day soon I hope into AKL.

The first nine photos are of HL7633 arriving and departing on runway 05R.

These next six photos are of HL7636 arriving and departing on runway 23L a day earlier.
The sun is not in the bast place for taking photos during the day at the moment as almost right overhead, a bit challenging to get some good shots.

Korean Airlines B747-8, B-7636

As Korean Airlines will be reverting back to B777-300ER operations in a few days for their upcoming winter schedule into Auckland, thought it would be a good idea and a last chance to get some shots of the best plane in the sky. This is HL7636 arriving from ICN as KE129. I think HL7636 is the newest B747-8 in their fleet.

Korean Airlines B747-8 HL7630

Well it's not long now until Korean Airlines will revert back to B777 operations in Auckland, so thought I'd better attempt to get a few more photos of the B747-8's while I can.

So yesterday the 14th Feb I managed to get HL7630, heading back to Seoul as KE130.
You just can't beat the B747 - any model in my opinion.

Korean Airlines B747-8i

Happy New Year Everyone, and I hope you all managed to have a break over the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Sorry for the long gap since I last posted some photo's, I've had a little holiday myself at the beach.

I would like to say Thank You for all your support and for following my blog in 2015. I hope in 2016 I can keep the photos coming.

So may as well start off 2016 with something big...

Korean Airlines have become the first airline to operate the B747-8i into Auckland, and it was also the first time a B747-8i had touched down in Auckland on the 6th Jan 2015 when KE129 from Seoul operated by HL7633.

My first photos yesterday of HL7631 as KE129 arrives, and some of KE130 departing back to SEL.
The B747-8 sure is a masterpiece and my number one aircraft.

Lufthansa B747-8

My favourite aircraft of all time, the B747, all versions of the 747 are awesome in my opinion and here are my first photos the B747-8 variant. I just wish the windows were clean and the sun was out when I took these, so with that I'm looking forward to some better photos in the future.

So here is Lufthansa's D-ABYL taxing out in LAX heading back to Frankfurt.
