BAC Strikemaster

This Strikemaster has recently been repainted, and I believe she will be performing at the up and coming Ohakea Airshow later this month. I managed to get these shots while the Strikemaster was doing circuits at Ardmore Airfield.

LAN Departs AKL

Lan Chile are the only carrier to operate non-stop flights from Santiago Chile to Auckland, with continuing service to Sydney, Australia. LAN operates to Sydney via AKL with a daily service in the summer months and usually cuts back to only 6 flights per week in the winter months with no flights in and out of AKL on Wednesdays. LA have a fleet of 5 A340-300 aircraft that alternate on this sector, which is a perfect route for the A340 which normally has a fuel load of about 81 tonne's for the 10 hours & 30 minutes back to SCL from AKL.
These shots are of flight LA800, CC-CQC, departing AKL runway 05R for SCL.

RNZAF B757 Display

Well I must admit that the B757 is one aircraft that I really like. I really enjoy flying in the 757 and I have almost lost count of how many times I've flown in one, but still look forward to getting on board each time.
These photos I took are of the RNZAF B757-200 NZ7572

London Heathrow

Well this time I'm in London at Heathrow. These photos I took were done just as the sun was setting and as I was running a little late to get to this spot for taking photos I only managed to get a few shots of the evening departures. These photos were taken at about 8.55pm.

Rarotonga

This place is just great. Rarotonga is located 1873 miles north east of New Zealand in the Tropical region of the Pacific Ocean.  Flying time to RAR from AKL is about 3 1/2 hours.

Air Rarotonga Embraer EMB110P1 Bandeirante

Air Rarotonga operates to 10 destinations in the Cook Islands Group including Rarotonga with a fleet of Saab 340, Embraer Bandeirante and a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Air Rarotonga also Code shares with Papeete based Air Tahiti using the ATR72-500.  The main Tourist Island serviced by Air Rarotonga is Aitutaki Lagoon, 163 miles to the north of Rarotonga. Aitutaki used to be stopover on the Famous Coral Route operated by TEAL with the Shorts Solent Flying Boats. The runway in Aitutaki was built by the Americans during the Pacific War, and has just recently been Tar-Sealed.

Boeing C-17 Globemaster

A few photos from the Whenuapai Airshow back in 2009. This demonstration was performed by the visiting USAF Globemaster C-17, and was in the Command of a female Captain.
Sorry about the grey sky in the back ground but it clouded over just in time for the display.
More Airshow photos to come over the coming months.
