American Airlines - Afternoon Arrival
American Airlines usually arrive into Auckland early morning, so an afternoon arrival does not normally happen. Back on the 14th Feb AA82 had a technical issue just over an hour out of AKL heading for LAX and was forced to turn back to AKL.

Air Tahiti Nui Brand New B787-9, F-OMUA
Air Tahiti Nui has added to the number of airlines operating the Dreamliner, B787-9 into Auckland.
The super fuel efficient Boeing B787 is the newest addition to the Air Tahiti Nui fleet and is the replacement for their aging A340-300's in service.
Seen here is the first Dreamliner to enter service, F-OMUA, named "Fakarava" arriving into Auckland as TN101 from Papeete. F-OMUA first flight to Auckland was on the 8th Nov.
They sure have done a great job with the livery.

Air New Zealand's B787-9, ZK-NZN Enters Service
Air New Zealand's brand new B787-9, ZK-NZN has been delivered to New Zealand arriving into Auckland from Boeing's Paine Field on Sunday the 16th Sep 2018. The aircraft is configured with 275 seats, dubbed (Code 2) in the airlines B787 fleet.
ZK-NZN entered into commercial service on Thursday 20th Sep 2018 operating its first revenue flight, NZ101 from Auckland to Sydney, and returning back to Auckland mid afternoon as NZ102.
It was nice to be able to get these shots of NZN's first day in action and of NZ102 arriving back into Auckland for the first time, with passengers on board. The moon sure was in a great spot in the first photo.

Vietnam Airlines B787-9, VN-A868
Special visitor in town last week, and I really like the livery of Vietnam Airlines.
This is their B787-9, VN-A868 taking out on the 14th March departing for Canberra, Australia.

Thai Airways First B787-9 Into Auckland
Thai Airways have yet again changed aircraft type on their Bangkok - Auckland - Bangkok flights, this time changing from the B777-300ER to the B787-9.
They only operated the B777-300ER for s short period after operating the B777-200ER for quite a number of years.
Thai only have two B787-9's, HS-TWA & HS-TWB and they will be dedicated to the Auckland route.

Air New Zealand Brand New B787-9, ZK-NZL
Air New Zealand's newest and brand new B787-9, ZK-NZL has arrived in Auckland, arriving on Sunday 8th October early evening in light rain and overcast conditions.
It arrived as NZ6094 from Houston after a one night technical stop en route from Charleston.
ZK-NZL is the first Boeing delivered to Air New Zealand that was built at Boeing's Charleston factory in South Carolina.
ZK-NZL also sports a new cabin configuration layout, with only 275 seats. 27 Premium Seats, 33 Premium Economy and 215 Economy Seats. The new cabin layout based on a strong demand for more Premium Seats, and NZL will be deployed on the Auckland - Houston route starting in December,

Air New Zealand B787-9, ZK-NZI
My first photos here of Air New Zealand's newly delivered B787-9, ZK-NZI which was the newest B787-9 in the fleet until last week when ZK-NZJ arrived from the Boeing factory.
ZK-NZI arrived into Auckland in late July, direct from Boeing Field, and entered service on the 2nd August as NZ175 to Perth.

Air New Zealand B787-9, ZK-NZC
Sorry for not posting many photos lately, been busy with others things on the go.
Back last month I was in Nadi, Fiji, on a very short visit and got these photos of Air New Zealand's B787-9, ZK-NZC and my ride back to Auckland as NZ55.
The weather sure was nice and warm, wish I could have stayed.
