Captains Choice B757-200, TF-FIW
It was nice to see this B757-200, TF-FIW pass through Auckland on the 27th Jul after arriving from Tahiti on a tech stop for fuel.

Hi Fly To The Rescue...
Welcome to Auckland Hi Fly...
Air New Zealand unfortunately have had to pull four B787-9's out of service due to ongoing problems with their Rolls Royce Trent Engines.
As it is the peak travel season time, and Air New Zealand struggling to maintain their schedule with four less wide bodies, help was required.
As a result Air New Zealand has arranged a Wet Lease from Hi Fly, a European Charter Airline based in Portugal, using two aircraft, an A330-200 & A340-300.
The A330-200, CS-TQW is operating on the Auckland - Perth - Auckland, NZ175/6 flights and the A340-300, 9H-FOX is operating the Auckland - Sydney - Auckland sectors, flying the
NZ101/2 & NZ105/8 flights.
Its a bit unknown how long the services of Hi Fly will be required but I suspect it will be well into Late January early February.

Icelandair B757-200, TF-FIW
Making a tech stop in Auckland on the 8th October was this Icelandair B757-200, TF-FIW, arriving from Papeete and after a short time on the ground, continuing onto Hobart, Australia.

Hi Fly A340-500, CS-TFX
Another rare visitor to Auckland arrived yesterday the 28th November from Papeete, Tahiti.
This is Hi Fly's A340-500, CS-TFX landing on 23L in rather windy and overcast conditions.
Hi Fly is a Portuguese based Charter Airline and also operates a A321, and some A330's

Long Range A319 Charter, D-ALXX
Arriving into Auckland early Saturday 5th Nov was this K5 Aviation's A319, D-ALXX on a charter.
K5 Aviation is German based VVIP Charter Operator specializing in long range flying.
D-ALXX has been to New Zealand previously on other charters.

Titan Airways B757-200
I'm always happy to see a B757-200, its a big favourite of mine and last week saw this very smart looking Titan Airways 757, G-ZAPX visit Auckland for a few days. The weather was not the best last week at all for both the arrival photos and very dark conditions also for the last set of photos on the taxi out for Melbourne, Australia. A bit of a operator error on the camera also to blame also in these average quality photos.
