Singapore Airlines A380, 9V-SKC

Singapore Airlines have again commenced their summer season A380 services into Auckland, instead of the winter operations by the B777-300ER.

Emirates "United for Wildlife" A380, A6-EEQ

Well it was so pleasing to see Emirates A380, A6-EEQ in Auckland with the very newly applied "United for Wildlife" livery on Friday the 15th April. It operated in and out of Brisbane as EK434 and EK435. I believe Emirates now have three A380's with these very impressive animal decals applied and it sure does look great in person. The late afternoon setting sun was just perfect for these photos.

Emirates A380, AC Milan Livery, A6-EET

Emirates have applied several special liveries to some of their A380's and have been deploying them on the Auckland route on and off lately. A6-EET now wears the AC Milan Soccer Team, well some of them anyway, on the back of the aircraft. Got these first photos of EET arriving from Sydney yesterday the 14th April arriving as EK412.

Singapore Airlines - SG50 Livery

Well it's that time of year again, and Singapore Airlines have started their A380 services to Auckland operating the daily return flights SQ285/SQ286 for the 2015/2016 summer season.

And yesterday the 27th Oct saw their second A380 flight for the season arrive into Auckland with their SG50 Special Livery worn by 9V-SKJ.
It looks pretty good and I hope to get some better shots over the summer period of SKJ or SKI if they make down to AKL. The last 2 photos aren't the best, could have been better.

Tom Bradley A380 Line Up

Over the many years that I have been travelling to Los Angeles, the B747-400 has been the Queen of LAX and the long haul aircraft widely used by most airlines operating on long haul non-stop routes. The A380 and of course the B777 family now rule LAX and the B787 not far behind. There are of course airlines still opening the B747 out of LAX.

I got these photos from the Imperial Hill, overlooking the airport with great views, and of course the newly opened Tom Bradley Terminal, which is very nice and very user friendly in my opinion.

A couple of photos with an A380 lineup with five all parked together and a lone Qantas B747-400 park all the way at the end next to a Fiji Airways A330.

Well is I wish I had some better shots of this British Airways A380, like I did with the KE A380.

These are pretty crappy photos actually, taken through some pretty dirty windows from inside the Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX. The only reason I thought to post these pics, is because of the crappy conditions at the time for taking photos with this FOG rolling at at 6pm.

Oh well at least I got some shots, and this is GXLEI taxing in through the fog.

Korean Airlines A380

Back at LAX for these photos on a very warm and humid early afternoon.

With only one runway in use currently at LAX on the north side of the complex due runways works on the other northern runway, meant all arrivals are closer then usual, and much better for getting shots from in between the Southwest Terminal and Terminal 2.

Some shots of Korean Airlines, HL7614 and as you can see in the first photo, Southwest had a pretty full ramp at the time.

The light for taking photos at LAX was not the best at the time of day I took these of Asiana Airlines
A380, HL7634 landing on the north side of the complex on Runway 24L. The sun was pretty much straight overhead.
