Air New Zealand announces outcome of Regional Services review. Eagle Airways fleet of Beech 1900 aircraft to exit and cease operations by August 2016. From April 2015 services to be suspended are Kaitaia - Auckland; Whakatane - Auckland; Whangarei - Wellington; Taupo - Wellington and from 2016 Westport - Wellington and Palmerston North - Nelson and Hamilton - Auckland services to be suspended.

Air New Zealand and Air China signed Statement of Intent to pave the way for a strategic alliance on services between China and New Zealand. The proposed alliance will see Air China operated a new direct Beijing - Auckland service.
