Mount Cook Airlines new ATR-600, ZK-MVE arrives Christchurch after delivery flight.

Air New Zealand's B777-300ER, ZK-OKS, enters service operating NZ135, Auckland-Brisbane.

Air New Zealand's last remaining B747-419, ZK-NBV departs Auckland for LAX and NZ6074.

B777-300ER, ZK-OKQ as NZ1946. The All Blacks are due to play the American Eagles on Sunday 02 Nov NZ Time at 0900

Singapore Airlines inaugural A380 Auckland flight, SQ285 operated by 9V-SKB arrives in Auckland

29 October
First time in Auckland there are four A380's on the ground at any one time, 1 x SQ and 3 EK.

Air New Zealand operates first B787-9 flight to Shanghai, PVG, as NZ289 with ZK-NZE 

11 November
Air New Zealand announces outcome of Regional Services review. Eagle Airways fleet of Beech 1900 aircraft to exit and cease operations by August 2016. From April 2015 services to be suspended are Kaitaia - Auckland; Whakatane - Auckland; Whangarei - Wellington; Taupo - Wellington and from 2016 Westport - Wellington and Palmerston North - Nelson and Hamilton - Auckland services to be suspended.

21 November
Air New Zealand and Air China signed Statement of Intent to pave the way for a strategic alliance on services between China and New Zealand. The proposed alliance will see Air China operated a new direct Beijing - Auckland service.

ZK-NZE operating NZ175 AKL-PER suffers a lightning strick heading into Perth, causing the cancellation of NZ176 the return leg for technical issues.

Air New Zealand named Company of the Year, and the Chairman of the Board named Chairman of the Year at the Deloitte Top 200 Awards for 2014.

China Airlines first B747-400 for the 2014/2015 summer season arrives in Auckland from Brisbane and Taipei.

Air New Zealand moves out of Terminal 2, and moves to the Tom Bradley Terminal in Los Angeles.

Air NZ's inaugural B787-9 Japan service operated by ZK-NZE as NZ99.

Air NZ's B787-9, ZK-NZG enters service, operating NZ119, AKL-SYD.

China Southern Airlines operates first B777-300ER into Auckland for summer 2014/15 season on the CZ305/CZ306 evening flights. B-2099 operated the first flight.
