Airbus A400M Atlas, ZM401

The RAF sent their very brand new, Airbus A400M Atlas Heavy Lift Transport, ZM401 to Ohakea for the RNZAF's 80th Anniversary Air Tattoo for static display.

Its a very big machine, bigger than a C130 and smaller than a C17.
It has a maximum payload capability of 37,000kg, but 20,000 kg is a typical payload.
When empty if has a ferry range of 4800nm and with it maximum payload of 37 tonne, its range is still and impressive 2780nm.

The engines are super quiet and powerful.
