Air New Zealand Brand New B787-9, ZK-NZL

Air New Zealand's newest and brand new B787-9, ZK-NZL has arrived in Auckland, arriving on Sunday 8th October early evening in light rain and overcast conditions.

It arrived as NZ6094 from Houston after a one night technical stop en route from Charleston.

ZK-NZL is the first Boeing delivered to Air New Zealand that was built at Boeing's Charleston factory in South Carolina.

ZK-NZL also sports a new cabin configuration layout, with only 275 seats. 27 Premium Seats, 33 Premium Economy and 215 Economy Seats. The new cabin layout based on a strong demand for more Premium Seats, and NZL will be deployed on the Auckland - Houston route starting in December,

All Black Q300, ZK-NEM

Well its good to see at long last, Air New Zealand have finally painted one of there Air Nelson, Link's Q300, ZK-NEM into the All Black Livery, as worn by other aircraft type in the fleet.

Managed to get these shots of its second visit to Auckland in the new colour scheme.

Norfolk Island Airlines, VH-YNU

Well I was pleased to at last get a photo of a Norfolk Island Airlines flight before they stop services to Auckland. The airline has announced they will be withdrawing their Norfolk Island - Auckland flights. They only started operating to Auckland in June this year.

Well there hasn't been much interesting coming and going lately so not much of anything new to photos of. But I have still had fun getting some random shots, and something different again.

RAAF A330 MRTT & Challenger 604

Late in August the Australian Air Force conducted what could be called training flights across the ditch from Australia in their A330 MRTT, A39-001.

First flying an approach at Ohakea Air Force base then heading north to Auckland for a landing and seat swap for the training crew.

On the 5th September saw the arrival of the RAAF's Challenger 604, A37-001 into Auckland for a one night stay before arriving to Australia,

Thai Airways B777-300ER, HS-TKZ

Thai Airways have up gauged their Bangkok - Auckland - Bangkok flights, TG491/2 from a B777-200ER to a B777-300ER until the 15th November.

From the 16th November they intend to operated their brand new B787-9's on the route.
