Air Vanuatu B737-800, YJ-AV8
Air Vanuatu fly's the most colourful B737-800 into Auckland, out of all the airlines that use the B737-800. Air Vanuatu operates several times a week from Port Vila, and YJ-AV8 sure looks great under the blue sky.

Auckland Approach, Atlas Air N493MC
Sometimes I try and get shots likes these one's, and will try and get more in the future. More practice required I think to improve pointing the camera to capture the action, but thought I'd start by posting these shots of Atlas Air N493MC arriving with a couple Air New Zealand aircraft holding.

Air New Zealand B787-9, ZK-NZD
Have been wanting to get some photos of an Air New Zealand B787-9 taking off from Auckland on runaway 05R for a while with the sun out. On this day I had a very short window of opportunity too and was glad to sneak these photos in.
This is NZ99, heading off to Narita in ZK-NZD, and check out the wing flex in the first photo and still on the ground seconds before it rotated. The other photos show how much wing flex the B787-9 wing really does have also.

Super Air's Fletcher FU24 - ZK-DZO
Well its great to get out of the city and head for the hills every now an again. That's exactly what I did a few weeks ago heading south for a few days and not looking for any airplanes to take photos of.
But in the rural location I was staying at, and the sound of this just down the road buzzing overhead made the temptation to great, so grabbed the camera and when to get these shots of a really classic NZ Aviation scenes, of this Super Air's Fletcher FU24, ZK-DZO operating out of small strip in the hills just out of Rotorua.
It was very late in the day and rather overcast and a little dark, so getting some good shots was pretty hard but managed these one's and a little bit of the action.

Well I was not planning on this shot, but what a great job Jetstar's VH-VQR, did on hiding a complete B747-400, well almost all of. I think you will all know who's B747 it is.

Atlas Air B747-400F, N493MC
Atlas Air operate through Auckland on behalf of Qantas Freight and it's always great to see a
B747 of any type in town. So with the weather being perfect and my favourite aircraft type, and the fact that I haven't photographed Atlas in Auckland for a long time, which lead to these shots on Monday the 9th May earlier in the week of N493MC arriving in from Honolulu.

China Eastern A330-200, B-5936
A few quick photos of China Eastern's A330-200, B-5936 arriving into Auckland.
