Ed Force One - Iron Maiden Departs Auckland, TF-AAK

Ok I went a bit crazy on the shutter button with Iron Maiden's 'Ed Force One' B747-400, TF-AAK, but won't see this again in Auckland I don't think.

So some last photos of Ed and the band taxing out on the 2nd May heading to Brisbane.

Air New Zealand B777-300ER, ZK-OKP,,,Still In Hobbit Livery

Well the Hobbit Livery lives on, worn by ZK-OKP and when it was last up for maintenance in Singapore, I think it was, it was due for a repaint, but they ran out of time to do it.

So good opportunity for some more photos of one of the best looking B777-300ER's in my opinion in the world. I actually made a bit of a balls up of some of these take off sequence photo's cutting the tail off in one and almost the nose in another. First 2 shots at least are ok.

Jetstar A320, Kung Fu Panda, VH-VFX

Jetstar is doing a good job of promoting the new animated movie, 'Kung Fu Panda 3' with some colourful artwork been added to their A320, VH-VFX, also fitted with Sharklet's.

French Air Force VIP Jets

A busy last week at Auckland Airport, and yet again another VIP in town. Also on a whirlwind visit to Auckland was the French Prime Minister, who arrived into Auckland on Sunday 1st May.
The Prime Minister and his travelling party brought three of the French Air Force VIP transport aircraft into Auckland. An A330-200, A340-200 and a Falcon 7X.

Air India B747-400, VT-EVB

Another rare visitor to Auckland last week, and it was great to see this Air India B747-400, VT-EVB down under. VT-EVB arrived early on the 30th April carrying the President of India for his state visit to New Zealand. It arrived in the dark on the 30th April so was pleased to see this colourful B747-400 leave in daylight hours on the 2nd May, VT-EVB departed to Singapore.

Ed Force One Arrives in Auckland

Welcome to Auckland Iron Maiden....

It was just perfect weather yesterday in Auckland for the arrival of the heavy metal band,
"Iron Maiden", in their dam good looking B747-400, TF-AAK, which has been chartered from Air Atlanta Icelandic.

TF-AAK also known as "Ed Force One" is how the band, support crew and equipment for their
"The Book Of Souls World Tour" are travelling this time and why not do it in style in a B747-400.
