Hawker 800XP VH-VRC

Sunday 16th May saw this very smart Hawker 800XP, VH-VRC arrive into Auckland from Essendon. The Hawker 800XP is quite small but still looks great. These are my first photos of this aircraft.

Retired Britten-Norman Trislander ZK-LGF

Back to some summer time photos at the North Shore Airfield and parked up with no where to go is this retired from service, Great Barrier Airlines Britten-Norman Trislander ZK-LGF.

I am not sure but I think LGF started service at Great Barrier Airlines in 2010 and not sure also of retirement date from the Airline. This aircraft sure has seen better days, after sitting idle on the ground for some time.

Ardmore Airport Visit

Geez its been a while since I have been out to Ardmore Airport for a visit, so a couple of weeks ago I made the trip out there. I was only there for just over an hour and was pretty pleased with the afternoons movements, with quite a bit of variety in such a short time.

Managed to get the following aircraft types, Cessna 206, 172, 182, Britten Norman Islander, Aero L39, Bell Helicopter and a CT/4 Trainer.

China Southern - B777-300ER Up Close

China Southern seem to arrive into Auckland about one hour earlier then scheduled each day. Not sure why this is, but at least their customers will be happy with this.

I managed to get these photos yesterday the 11th May of CZ305 operated by B-2009 arriving into Auckland from Guangzhou.

Qantas A380 VH-OQI Auckland Stopover

Qantas Flight QF8 from DFW to SYD, yesterday diverted to Auckland for fuel, due to fog conditions in Sydney. QF8 was almost overhead Nadi, Fiji when the call was made by the looks of it to divert to Auckland for fuel. VH-OQI landed in AKL just after 7:30am on runway 05R.
After a refuel and the usual paper work, OQI continued onto SYD.

It was quite overcast and the sun was not long up, so the lighting was not the best for these photos,
but it was great to see a QF A380 in town.

Emirates Sunset Departure A6-EDM

Sorry for lack of photo posts lately, been busy with house painting, etc, etc.

Now that daylight savings has finished in New Zealand, and as the sun sets earlier but not to early to get these sunset photos of Emirates A380 A6-EDM departing for Brisbane.
