Vietnam Airlines - B777-200ER

This week saw a visit to Auckland by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Tan Dung, aboard a this Vietnam Airlines B777-200ER VN-A150.

A fairly large contingent travelled to Australia and New Zealand with the Prime Minister marking a long and growing diplomatic relation between New Zealand & Vietnam.

The lighting conditions were not the best for the Arrival of VN1 from Canberra and the departure again to Hanoi also as VN1, however I was still just pleased to get some shots of this rare visitor to Auckland.

China Southern CZ336 Take Off

At last I finally managed to get some photos of CZ departing Auckland from runway 05R.
With the luck of good weather and a sunny morning, I was pretty happy to get these photos of
B-2733, flight CZ336 rotating right in front of me. Sure love the wing flex of those B787's.

Emirates Sky Cargo Freighter A6-EFM

A very special delivery arrived into Auckland on Saturday morning, 14th Mar on board this
Emirates Sky Cargo B777-200F, A6-EFM,  direct from Colombo (CMB) in Sri Lanka as UAE9300.

On board was an Elephant named "Anjalee" which I think is bound for Auckland Zoo, after a 3 month stay in Niue, where she flew to also today on board an RNZAF C-130 Hercules NZ7001,
"Anjalee" was unloaded from A6-EFM and was reloaded into the back of the C-130 within an hour or so before taking off for Niue and her quarantine stay on the island.

A6-EFM departed mid morning from AKL bound for Sydney and Taipei as the same flight number.

Was pretty happy to be on hand to get these photo's of this rare B777 variant to visit AKL.

Titan T-51 Midget Mustang ZK-WWM

I thought it would be good to carry on from my last post of the P 51 Mustang with these photos of a
Titan T-51 Midget Mustang MJ-77,  ZK-WWM

Sure is a clean aircraft and I was surprised at how short and small the propeller blades actually were.

As usual the P 51D Mustang is always a crowd pleas er at airshows and ZK-TAF, (NZ2415) from the New Zealand Warbird's put on an impressive performance.

Out the Window View - Wellington to Auckland

Boy it sure was a nice evening to Fly.......
It was a warm summers evening and this was the view I had out the window on my flight back to Auckland from Wellington on NZ476 seated in 9F.

Quite a few photos, but something different in each shot, and as it was early evening with the sun setting the light changed rapidly giving something different to each photo.

Last week saw the Australian Prime Minister visit New Zealand and I managed to get a couple of photos if his ride into Auckland.
