Air New Zealand's B777-300ER, ZK-OKS Enters Service

Air New Zealand's brand new B777-300ER, ZK-OKS entered service on Friday 10th Oct 14 with it's first revenue flight to Brisbane as NZ135.

ZK-OKS is the 7th and last to be delivered B777-300ER planned at this stage for Air NZ, and is the second B777-300ER to wear the new livery.

The first photo is the departure of NZ135 to BNE, and I was also on hand to get some photos of OKS arriving back from Brisbane as NZ136 later in the afternoon.

FAREWELL - Air New Zealand's Last B747-400

Monday 13th Oct 2014 at 16:38 saw the departure from Auckland of Air New Zealand's last remaining

"Queen of the Skies" B747-419,  ZK-NBV.

The B747-400 has served Air New Zealand very well, and will be missed for sure by everyone who flew on them.

Using the callsign NZ6074,  NBV departed from runway 23L and after takeoff made a left hand sweeping turn to head back over the airport and wave goodbye for the last time.

Air New Zealand - New Livery & New Aircraft Line Up

Air New Zealand's new livery, and fleet is really growing in size.

This is the first time at the Auckland International Terminal, parked at Gates 2, 4, 6 & 8 was an entire collection of the Air New Zealand's new livery. And what line up is was, with three of the newest jets in the fleet all together at the same time. Parked on Gate 2, ZK-NZF, Gate 6, ZK-OKS and
Gate 8, ZK-OKR.  Arriving onto Gate 4, was ZK-OJD also now wearing the new livery, and to complete this line up and also make these photos possible.

It would have been awesome to see the B747-400 in this Livery........

A320's at Sunset

I sure did make and effort to get some nice sunset photos this winter in Auckland, and seen here in the photos are a couple of Air New Zealand A320's. Wearing the new livery, and only assigned to Domestic main trunk flying is, ZK-OXD and still wearing the old livery, and assigned mainly on International routes is ZK-OJD.

Emirates A380 - A6-EEQ Last "Pele" Photos

Well Emirates A380, A6-EEQ has finally had her Soccer World Cup Livery "Pele" removed.
These photos are the last I managed to get of A6-EEQ, during sunset while still wearing this special themed livery. These are also my favorite ones, out of all of my "Pele" photos.

A319 Auckland Visit - D-ALXX

Back on the 4th Sep saw another A319 visitor into Auckland. D-ALXX is a German registered A319 operated by K5 Aviation. I think the livery is simply, but sharp for an aircraft of this size.

Waikato Aero Club Alpha 160A - ZK-WKF

I was down country earlier this week and was passing by the Kihikihi Airstrip in the Waikato and spotted a light aircraft on approach, so I made a quick stop for these photos.

Great to see some off airport, small grass runway flight training in progress with the student doing a great job on the approach, landing and takeoff. The aircraft is Waikato Aero Club's Alpha 160A
ZK-WKF, which also a fully certified aerobatic aircraft.
