Sleeping Planes...and ZK-ZOD

Another quiet day out at Ardmore Airfield with lots of aircraft tied down and doing nothing, on a very nice day for flying weather wise. ZK-ZOD, a Zenith Zodiac Class 2 Microlight landed and pulled up to the Ardmore Cafe, that was the excitement for the day....

Got Them By The Tail......

A few random photos of some tails from the viewing area at the Auckland International Terminal, a while ago I must admit.

I'm counting the days now to the arrival of ZK-NZE into Auckland, just hoping I'll be available for some photos for its arrival, fingers crossed.

LAX - Southwest & US Airways

Back in LAX again, and just time for a quick few photos while passing by.

Southwest Airlines B737-700, N742SW first flew in late 1998 & in the second shot is
US Airways. A321, N196UW which first flew in 2009 with the test flight registration of D-AVZR.

I think I've mentioned before that I'm a fan of the MD-11, so took the opportunity to get these shots during late afternoon in the golden light hour of FedEx's FX75, N608FE arriving in from HNL.

North Shore Airfield - ZK-TZG & ZK-CGW

Had to head up north the other day AGAIN, so made a quick pit stop at the North Shore Airfield and took these quick photos of these two North Shore Aero Club Aircraft.

First two photos are of ZK-TZG, a Robin 2120, and the last two their Beech Duchess 76, ZK-CGW

Jetstar - VH-VGF - The Other Side

Well managed to get some photos of the other side of Jetstar's Special Livery VH-VGF.

Featuring "Low fares forever" on the starboard side.

Air New Zealand ZK-OKQ Sunset Arrival

Talk about low light for these shots, and my camera hates low light, so was pretty lucky to get these photos of the Black Beauty, ZK-OKQ landing in Auckland, with literary the last sunlight rays of the day just fading away.

Air New Zealand ZK-OJQ - New Livery

Air New Zealand's A320, ZK-OJQ is now sporting the new livery, and another case of first time pics for me. Even though its winter time, the low sun can produce some great light for photography.
