A Tail and a Winglet - ZK-NCJ

Took these shots late in 2013 on my way to SYD on NZ101.

My ride for the 3hr 25 minute flight was ZK-NCJ.

It was actually my first flight on an Air New Zealand's B767-300 since the winglets have been fitted throughout the 5 remaining in their fleet.

A320's One Going..One Coming.

A shot taken on a rather dull and and wet day of, a couple of competitors, Air NZ and Jetstar. Air New Zealand's new Sharklet A320 ZK-OXB taxi's out and Jetstar's VH-VFJ taxi's in.

NZ & SQ Alliance

Well as announced by Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines yesterday the 16th Jan, that they are to form an Alliance, which will see Air New Zealand to restart flying their own metal once again to Singapore after leaving that route in 2006, and the introduction on the AKL run of the A380 by SQ during the peak season. Good news all round I reckon.

Smaug at Sunrise - ZK-OKO

Sorry for not posting many photos lately, been busy with festive season and work etc....

Anyway here is a couple of shots of ZK-OKO, Smaug Livery, arriving into Auckland at sunrise from LAX. I wish these shots were a little bit better actually.

Tasman Cargo Airlines (DHL) 757 Freighter

At last I have managed to get some good shots of the Auckland based Tasman Cargo Airlines,  VH-TCA, B757-236PCF freighter. DHL is the main operator as you can see.
DHL has also become the Official Logistics Partner for the Rugby World Cup 2015, as noted by the newly applied logos at the rear on each side.

The 757-200 is another favorite of mine, and after having flown many hours in the passenger version they are great to fly on. and these machines look awesome also.

The Big and Small.......

A size comparison this time. SQ7293 to Melbourne 9V-SFP taxis out and holds short of Runway 23L at Auckland while a Cessna Centurion T210R, ZK-TRO taxis pass also holding for a departure on 23L.
