Last Post for 2014

Hi All,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Safe & Happy New Year for 2015. I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone that has followed my blog throughout 2014, and thanks for the comments and emails that you have sent me.

I am sorry that I have not posted many photos on a regular basis lately, I've been quite busy over the Christmas rush, but I am looking forward 2015 and hope my photographic skills will improve.

So here's some last photos for 2014, Emirates A6-EDE and Lan's CCCQA arriving over the fence in Auckland from Sydney on runway 23L.

I'll try and post some more photos in a few days time, before I takeoff myself for a few weeks break.

China Airlines A330 B-18359

I haven't taken many photos of any China Airlines A330's for a while that operate in Auckland from Taipei via Sydney, so when the sun came out, I made a special trip just to get these shots of B-18359 arriving into Auckland landing on runway 05R.

Gulfstream G650 - N650AB

Another Gulfstream G650 has made New Zealand it's home, well for now anyway. This great looking G650, N650AB arrived into Auckland on the evening of the 7th December direct from Maui in Hawaii. I reckon the G650 is the best looking Business Jet on the market, and sure would love to go for a flight on one, one day, Oh well dreams are free I guess.

Corporate A330-200 VP-CBE

Well after some pretty crappy weather lately, it was good to see the sun out for the arrival into
Auckland yesterday Sunday 21st December of this all white Corporate Airbus A330-200 VP-CBE.

There are no colour markings at all on this aircraft, just the registration is painted on the rear of the aircraft, and that's it.

Singapore Airlines A380 - Off Airport

I can't make it to the airport everyday, some days way to much to do around the house, etc etc, but doing jobs outside with camera nearby can be a plus also. 

Sorry don't know the registration, but here is SQ285 downwind for runway 23L over my place. Good timing for the second shot, and I was lucky to even get the first one.

Air New Zealand's ZK-NZF

When ZK-NZF arrived into Auckland on its delivery flight from Seattle, it pulled off the runway short, leaving me to only get some long range shots, which weren't the best.

These are the only other photos I have of ZK-NZF, and just my luck its was a sunny day and here it what I managed to get, all I need now is a sunny day for NZG.

Aero L-39 ZK-WLM

Some more photos from back at the Warbird's Open day at Ardmore late last month.

This is ZK-WLM, an Czechoslovakian Aero L-39 Albatros which I have only seen a few times from a distance, so it was great to finally get some good closeup photos of this air trainer.

Air New Zealand's B777-300ER, ZK-OKN at Sunset

Going back to some photos I took this winter, these taken back in August 2014.
And at last, I managed to get some sunset photos of ZK-OKN arriving into Auckland and clear skies just made it easier to get the first four pics.

The first four photos were taken on the 9th Aug, and the last three photos were taken 3 days early on the 6th Aug. I wonder when OKN will get the new livery...

Air New Zealand New Livery - ZK-OJS

Air New Zealand's new livery is making its way across the A320 fleet quite quickly and this time some quick shots of ZK-OJS wearing the new livery, and these photos we not taken on the same day.

China Southern's B787's - B2726 & B2727

China Southern operate double daily flights into Auckland, both using the B787-8. However this month they are up gauging their CZ305/CZ306 flights to the B777-300ER until March next year for the busy summer season, which of course will see a seat capacity increase into Auckland.

So look out for their B777-300ER's that will be arriving late afternoon.

So I thought it would be good to share these B787-8 arrivals, and I'm looking forward to getting some pics of the B777.

China Airlines - B747-400 Sky Team Livery

China Airlines have started their B747-400 flights for the summer season on the TPE-BNE-AKL flights CI53 inbound and the return legs as CI52.

A first time visitor to New Zealand saw B-18206 operate CI53 on Friday 5th Dec arriving into Auckland just after 6:30 pm.

As you can see B-18206 wears the Sky Team livery, and I actually quite like it, and is so good to see the good old B747-400 operating passenger flights into and out of AKL
