Air New Zealand - B747-400

It will be sad to see the end of an era when the B747-400 fleet is retired in full from service with
Air New Zealand in 2014. Air New Zealand only has two B747-400's left in service, ZK-SUH &
ZK-NBV, which are mostly assigned on the AKL-SFO-AKL run until their retirement.

My favorite aircraft of all time and most travelled in during my travels is the B747-400.

Seen here under tow from the hanger in AKL down to the International Terminal is
ZK-NBV (msn 26910) in preparation for NZ8 to SFO.

ZK-NBV was delivered new to Air NZ in October 1998, and has General Electric Engines.
